ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I live at Tanners Point and often walk in the harbour at low tide. I came across this old broken-down hide just at the edge of the mangroves. After painting the scene, I showed it to a neighbour, and it turned out his son had built it many years ago - the painting clearly brought back fond memories. It was such a good story that I gave him the original — but prints are still available.
